Health benefits:
Beans are rich in micronutrients, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, carotenoids, polyphenols, and phytochemicals that help fight inflammation and free radicals. They provide vitamins A, K, and C, folate, potassium, calcium, magnesium, dietary fiber, and prebiotic carbohydrates.
Phaseolus vulgaris, commonly known as dry beans, are widely accessible, affordable, versatile, and highly nutritious. They are rich in fiber and help you feel fuller for longer. One-half cup of cooked beans equals one ounce of meat and provides approximately 7 grams of protein.
