Canned Beef and Broccoli

Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp cooking oil (e.g. coconut, canola, ghee, avocado)
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2-3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 (12oz) can canned beef
- 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey • 1 tsp rice vinegar (optional)
- 2 cups frozen broccoli florets
- 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- To taste, salt and pepper
Equipment: Medium skillet with lid, stove top, mixing spoon
Directions:

In a medium cooking pot over medium heat, add the cooking oil.

Reduce the heat to low and add the onion and a dash of salt.
Sauté for 3–5 minutes, or until translucent.

Add the garlic and another dash of salt.
Sauté for 3 minutes, or until fragrant.

Add the canned beef and cook for 5 minutes.

Add the soy sauce, honey, and rice vinegar.
Stir well and cook for 3 minutes.

Add the broccoli and red pepper flakes.
Stir well, cover with a lid, and let simmer for 10 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender.

Serve over rice noodles or brown rice.
