Ingredients:
- 4-inch fresh ginger, sliced (with or without skin)
- OR 4ea ginger tea bags
- 3 cups water
- 1 tbsp sweetener (e.g., maple syrup, date syrups, or
honey) - 1-2 cups ice
- 1 each citrus (lime, orange, lemon, sliced in rounds)
- Optional: Add 3-4 cups of brewed black tea
- Add rosemary or violets for a spring herbal delight Equipment: medium saucepan, cutting board, knife, strainer, slotted spoon, pitcher
Directions:
- Combine ginger and water in a medium saucepan over medium to high heat.
- Once at a rolling boil, reduce heat to low and simmer for 5-10 minutes. The longer the
simmer, the bolder the flavors. - Strain the ginger liquid into a pitcher and stir in maple syrup. Add ice and lime slices. Enjoy!
