The Best Way To Discover Louisville!!

Doe-Anderson initiative helps accelerate businesses by offering marketing services free of charge

Last year, Louisville advertising agency Doe-Anderson launched the All Hands: Black Small Business Enrichment Program, a pro bono initiative designed to accelerate local Black-owned businesses by addressing their marketing challenges free of charge.

The inaugural program saw overwhelming success, with over 70 Black business owners submitting applications. JoBé Products, founded by Louisville native JoCari Beattie, was selected as the first partner. Beattie’s innovative product, the Besk–a backpack that transforms into a desk–captured Doe-Anderson’s interest.

“JoCari and JoBé Products embodied the spirit of our agency,” said Kaelin Massey, public relations account manager. “The Besk’s uniqueness and JoCari’s inspiring story aligned perfectly with the All Hands program’s principles.”

Doe-Anderson partnered with Beattie for a year, providing professional services in brand strategy, creative/design, social media, website assistance/statistics, content creation and public relations.

“When I first met Doe-Anderson, my business was in a place of growth and I needed a lot of help in marketing and advertising,” said JoCari Beattie, CEO of JoBé Products. “After a year, not only am I leaving this program with assets for my business—like photos and a new logo—but also the knowledge I can share with others.”

Applications are now open for the second year of the All Hands Program to continue diversity, equity and inclusion efforts at the agency.

“As a 100-year old agency, we have a lot of advantages and privileges that younger companies do not have—particularly Black-owned businesses,” said John Brinsteel, CEO of Doe-Anderson. “All Hands is an effort to help level the playing field and grow businesses in our community that haven’t had the benefits of our head start.”

Applications for the second year of the All Hands Program are open until June 28. For more information and to apply, visit Doe-Anderson’s All Hands Program.
